Great Sauk Trail Training Committee The core of the Training committee consists of: The Council Training chair; the four District Training chairs; The Woodbadge training coordinator and our professional advisor. In addition to these positions, we have individuals who are running specific training programs for our youth and leaders in the: Venturing, Boy Scout, Cub Scout and District positions. These trainings are coordinated strategically in the four districts so as to make them conveniently available to the entire council population. Many of these trainings are held in our local camps while others are held in schools within the individual districts. The current goals of the training committee are to assure that all Scouts and Scouters have been credited with the training they have already received, to identify units and leaders that need training and to supply this training to the individuals in these units needing it in the most economical and convenient method possible. Once the level of training increases, attendance at roundtables and events will also begin to rise and so will the participation in the units in terms of leaders and youth increase. It is a proven fact that people who know what they are doing and to it correctly inspire others to emulate them and attract new people to their groups. This is our main goal. |
