October Updates
This year’s Cub Resident Camp program reports were very positive. Camp attendance was down slightly. New tents for all campers were well received.
Special thanks to the Parker Foundation for the $20,000 grant providing the funds for the tents. There are plans for a new Science Environment Education Center which we hope to build next year.

THANK YOU!
Thanks to the support of the Robert and Josie Parker Foundation we were able to purchase brand new tents for Cub Scout Resident Camp.
In the words of one camper, the new tents are “Awesome!”

October Updates
Forestry stewardship management continues. So far we have cut around 1,200 trees. The center of camp will be cut this fall. When we are done, camp will be a safer place to be. (Remember, that’s why we started this process when trees were blowing down at a District Camporee.) $30,000 has already been reinvested back into camp from timber sales. We will end up with 12 campsites, all with more space for camping, (up from 8 in the past) roads will be widened and easier to maneuver.
Ponds at Teetonkah: We have worked with Ducks Unlimited to write grants to develop several ponds. The grants are secured and we should see progress next year.
Oil and Gas Exploration: Sounding has been completed. If results are positive, a well may be drilled with potential proceeds supporting Scouting.

CONTINUED IMPROVEMENTS
The Ranger crew has been hard at work cleaning up Camp Teetonkah after the timber cut. This includes expanding campsites and clearing areas for four new campsites!
The Rangers have also installed new water lines and taps that will allow for year-round water available at Junipers & Cedars cabins, and Hickories campsite. Previously, water was not available at these locations.
