Good Turn for America
“To help other people at all times” is more than just part of the Scout Oath, just as “To Do a Good turn Daily” has to be more than just our Scout Slogan. Every Great Sauk Trail council Scout unit should be doing some type of service project at least once a year.

Door hangers are available at the Council Office
Hunger.
It’s a way of life for an increasing number of families. Many face hopeless decisions for medicine, heat or food. Groups providing assistance are struggling with increasing requests and shrinking resources. Every year the Boy Scouts of America answers this call by collecting food and supporting community agencies that fight hunger. Help us provide food, and hope, to our neighbors.

Until now, the two components of Basic Leader Training for Cub Scout leaders have been New Leader Essentials (an overview of the scouting program for all new Cub Scout, Boy Scout, and Venture leaders) and Cub Scout Leader Specific Training.
New Leader Essentials has now been replaced by “This Is Scouting.” This new orientation course is available in the BSA Online Learning Center.
